Privacy Policy

The short version

Courage First helps you practice everyday courage. We collect only what we need to run the app, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and everything in it at any time from the Profile tab.

What we collect

Account details you provide, such as your email address and an optional display name and username. Your activity in the app: the challenges you take, your check-in outcomes, your written, audio, or video reflections, your streak and courage score, and any comments or encouragements you post. Basic usage events that help us understand how the app is used.

How we use it

To provide your daily challenge, track your progress, power the community feed, keep the experience safe and G-rated, and improve the app. We do not use your reflections for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

Reflections you mark as private stay private to you. Reflections you choose to share, and any comments you post, are visible to other members of the community feed. We use Supabase as our backend provider to store data and media securely on our behalf.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile and notification preferences at any time. You can keep reflections private or delete them. You can permanently delete your account from the Profile tab, which erases your profile, check-ins, reflections, uploaded media, comments, and activity history. This action cannot be undone.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems.

Children

Courage First is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do.
